2017 IFC China International Fruit Conference to be held in Shanghai

On 1 and 2 September 2017, the China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuff and Native Produce and the China Fruit Marketing Association will work together to hold the 2017 IFC China International Fruit Conference at the Intercontinental Hotel in Puxi, Shanghai, supported by the Shaanxi Fruit Industry Bureau. It is estimated that over 400 people from China and abroad will visit this conference.


The Chinese branch of Zespri Fruit Co., Ltd. and Mr. Matt Crawford, responsible for government relations, did an analysis of the international kiwi industry on the 2016 conference.

Among the visitors will be many specialized purchasers and suppliers, such as leading Chinese importers and exporters, large scale supermarkets, fruit specialty chain stores, and fresh produce e-commerce platforms. Moreover, several departments of the government, such as the Department of Trade, the Quality Inspection Office, and officials of all the fruit production areas, will also attend.

Qi Feng, general manager of Shaanxi Qi Feng Fruit Industry Co., Ltd., analyzed the Chinese kiwi industry at the 2016 conference.

Many famous companies will attend the conference, such as Zespri, Xin Rong Mao, Goodfarmer, Dole, Dalian Yidu, Haisheng, Shaanxi Qi Feng Fruit Industry, Pagoda Orchard, Jingdong, Fruit Day, and Chongqing Golden Orchard.

On the morning of 1 September, financial experts, government organizations and industry leaders will decipher and analyze the trends in the fruit industry. In the afternoon, the conference will be divided into five discussion points: apples and pears, citrus fruits, cherries, kiwis, and bananas. The industry leaders will then discuss several topics with you, such as how high-end quality goods can reach their target audience, and how popular fruit can be improved.
