On 29 June 2017, the launch ceremony for the Goodfarmer golden pineapples from Costa Rica was held at the Huizhan Fruit and Vegetable Market in Shanghai. Representatives from the Costa Rican embassy, the Huizhan Fruit and Vegetable Market and Goodfarmer, all came together to celebrate the first transport of Costa Rican pineapples to China. Amongst the attendees were Mr. He Sai, diplomatic officer of the Costa Rican embassy in China, Mr. Li Buxiang, vice general manager of the Huizhan Fruit and Vegetable Market, Mr. Zhang Wei, general manager of the Jingdong Fresh Produce department, Mr. Xie Helong, general manager of Jiaxing Huatong, Cheng Jun, general manager of Tongliang Fruit, Ms. Liu Yanhong, general manager of Goodfarmer Shanghai Co., Ltd., and Mr. Gao Shangjie, director of the Goodfarmer marketing department.
