China: World's smallest pineapple intercepted by customs in Tianjin

Recently at Tianjin International Airport, inspectors from the Inspection and Quarantine Bureau found mini pineapples in the checked luggage belonging to a passenger flying from Phuket, Thailand. There were altogether 7 mini pineapples with a total weight of 1.1kg. The Bureau has intercepted this variety several times this week alone, weighing 6.5kg in all. Because the passengers flying from foreign countries failed to declare these pineapples to the Bureau upon arrival, all of them were confiscated by inspectors from the Bureau at the airport.
