Vivero Semillas y Plantones, began operations on November 14, 2015. The Panamanian company is the first industrial commercial nursery to be certified at the national level, through the Department of Plant Protection of the Ministry of Agriculture of Panama and in support of The Regional International Plant Protection Organization (OIRSA), for the production and export of citrus, mango, avocado and other fruit plants.
The company participates in the growth of the national fruit sector by selling its production of certified citrus and fruit trees for the development of the country's agricultural industry.
Vivero Semillas y Plantones SA has an installed production capacity of more than 750,000 seedlings, a modern and technological infrastructure in a controlled environment that allows it to offer the country healthy plants with high yields and genetic resistance to pests and viruses.
From now on, producers and agribusinesses will have access to higher quality citrus and fruit varieties for the development and expansion of their projects and to increase their productive capacity and improve their prospects of participating in the fruit export market.
Within its corporate objectives, Vivero Semillas and Plantones, aims to contribute to boost the country's agricultural industry and promote Panamanian agricultural export to international markets, its people and culture, as well as stimulating the growth of organic agriculture.
