Mexican mango season expected to stabilize soon
She continues: “We don't have big sizes available, but we offer medium sizes (10-12). We haven't had rain for our production, so the mango hasn't been able to grow a lot. The volumes will be stable soon, but only with regular volumes and no oversupply. The prices are balanced as well, but we have higher costs on the production side.”
BQ Fruits offers their mango in a new box of 5,5 kg. Nadia: “Our intention is to reposition our brand in the market, as a premium brand and a ready to eat concept. The new box has attractive colors and a good resistance. As well, we have a new sticker for the mango and we include more info for the customer on 'how to eat mangos'. We export our ready to eat mangos by plane with the freshness and color that is needed.
“We expect a good and stable market for our season. The mangoes have good quality, but no big sizes. The price might decrease a little in a few weeks, but we don't expect any big changes”, concludes Nadia.
