German packaging world looks at Boix tray erectors in Spain

Boix Europe became a member of the 'Vereniging Vollpappe-Kartonagen' (VVK) this year. The VVK represents the interests of German companies who produce and process solid carton. The VVK has 28 members, spread out across Germany. As a new member of the VVK Boix Europe was very excited to be allowed to organise the annual VVK meeting at its office in Spain, where the Boix machines are produced. It offered an opportunity to get to know the VVK members and to present the production philosophy of Boix erectors.

95% of the parts of a Boix machine are produced in-house. From the frame to the cogs, Boix makes everything themselves. The quality of the other parts is safeguarded by working exclusively with professional parties that are leading in their sector (such as Nordson, Festo, Siemens etc).

Boix is a global market leader in the production of high quality erectors, which are used to turn carton sheets into boxes automatically and in large numbers. The members of VVK know the advantages of sold carton boxes like no other. The sheets are easy to print and set up. The box doesn't lose its shape in wet conditions and often looks luxurious. Solid carton boxes are often used for packaging goods intended for export and packaging fruit and vegetables (fresh from the field).

The VVK members were enthusiastic about Boix' production philosophy and the new production lines, inspired by high tech production lines from the German car industry. According to the members Boix will continue to set the tone for tray erectors in the future.
