NNZ completes solar panel installation at Groningen headquarters

Over the last 2 months solar panels have been installed on the roofs of NNZ headquarters in Groningen in cooperation with GreenProfit. The total surface of the solar panels exceeds 3000 m² which produces approx. 200,000kWh equivalent to the energy consumption of 45 households which is a great saving on conventional energy.

NNZ has been working on reducing its carbon footprint for some time. The fluorescent lamps have been replaced by LED lamps which are now complemented by the installation of solar panels. This saves 105.2 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.

Len Boot CEO explains: "investing in solar panels with the large roof area of the location in Groningen was a logical choice using an extremely suitable and sustainable energy generator. From this exciting first step we are now looking at the possibilities on roofs of other NNZ's own buildings. "
