French courgette season off to good start

Thanks to good weather conditions courgette production has begun earlier than usual, notably in the South East. According to Agreste, despite the offer already being abundant in May, prices have remained stable, 8% above the 2012-2016 average. Prices are expected to decrease as of June due to the increase in national harvests. However, 2017 production is expected to decrease by 2% due to the same percentage decrease in acreage.
