Fruit Attraction 2017 will feature a new exhibition area this year called Smart Agro, designed to drive digital transformation and technological innovation in all the links in the agro-food chain; production, transformation, distribution and marketing, as well as the activities of R&D+i centres focused on the fruit and vegetable sector, to achieve more efficient production, with higher levels of quality and control, and lower environmental impact.
More than 1,000 square metres will be packed with innovation and knowledge, with practical talks and workshops, which will offer solutions for every step, from cultivation to final distribution to consumers: apps, drones, software/hardware, IoT, Big Data, ERPs, monitoring, automation, robotics, sensors among others.
Organised by IFEMA and FEPEX, the ninth version of the trade fair will take place from 18 to 20 October in halls 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 at Ifema. In eight years the trade fair has pulled in more than 1,500 participating companies and 60,000 trade visitors from 110 countries.
