China: Price of cucumbers in Shandong keep falling

This week, the market prices of cucumbers in Shandong Province have been falling. The factors causing this include the following:

1. The production volume is increasing as the weather warms up.

2. There are more varieties of fruit & veg available, which brings down the market demand for cucumbers.

3. The sales of cucumbers in South China is slow, and the resellers are hesitating to purchase them.

All these factors caused the fall in prices of cucumbers in Shandong, and growers from Qinam County in the province hope to keep the prices of cucumbers under control.
