"The supply of Xianju bayberries of this season started on 3rd June and will last till the beginning of July. The first variety available are Biqi bayberries, followed by Dongkui, which will enter the market on around 10th June. Compared to the previous years, the yields of this season are about 10% higher thanks to a proper amount of rainfall and good weather throughout the year. The quality is also good, so the market price has been stable," said Mr. Yixin Cui, sales manager of Xianchuang Youpin E-commerce Ltd.

"We have a plantation base with a total area of 1,800 acres in Xianju, with 100 acres just for our Biqi and Dongkui varieties to be exported. Our Biqi and part of our Dongqui bayberries are sold to wholesale and supermarkets in first and second tier cities through both traditional channels and e-commerce platforms. The rest of our Dongkui bayberries are exported to Canada, Hong Kong, the UAE and the U.S. from the port in Shanghai."

"We are currently selling our products mainly on our own online platform, but we also work with major WeChat bosses and shopping sites to supply wholesalers in big cities. Right now we only export Dongkui bayberries to the oversea markets. Currently, we are still working on details of pre-order contracts with our clients and we'll ship out the products on 15th June. Over the past few years, the export volumes have been growing steadily, with a pace of 4 or 5 times per year."

"It's well-known that Xianju bayberries are an outstanding representative of bayberry brands in China. The founder of Xianchuang Youpin comes from Xianju and is a 4th generation grower there. We have bayberry plants over 100 years old in our plantation and to make sure of the good quality of our products, we started to use automatic sorting machines this year."

"We have been using a specific part of our plantation for export only since we started to export in 2014. The purpose is to guarantee the quality of these Dongkui bayberries by monitoring their growing process. Thanks to our quality products and credible corporate reputation, we have had a group of long-term clients in the oversea markets. Currently, we are trying to find partners to work with for the European markets including countries like France and the Netherlands. We hope to enter the market with the help of local resellers and provide consumers here with our delicious bayberries from Xianju."
