Peak of the Market is pleased to announce that Bethany Alards and Duane Hood have joined the team as Quality Control Manager and Calgary Distribution Centre Manager respectively.
“Bethany brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance that has been gained in various roles in meat, bread, and cheese production and processing facilities,” says Larry McIntosh, President & CEO of Peak of the Market. She has implemented food safety programs (HACCP, BRC, CFIA) applicable to these sectors, and has developed quality monitoring procedures within production facilities to improve efficiencies while meeting product quality and customer specifications.
“Bethany has a keen interest in a hands-on approach to production and quality, which will serve her well as she works closely with all departments within Peak of the Market, and growers, to ensure we are meeting and exceeding our commitment to providing top quality potatoes and vegetables to our customers.”
Duane comes to Peak of the Market with over 25 years of warehouse, logistics, and distribution management experience. Duane’s career includes leading teams of 4 to 60 staff at warehouses including Eleven Points Logistics (Target), Ultralite Doors and Coca-Cola. Duane has also worked with a number of warehouse management software programs including AS400, SAP, Manhattan, WMS and Accpacc.
