In May this year, a team of Valagro came to visit the Chinese region which is famous for its grapes: Jiaxing city in Zhejiang province. Here they discussed with farmers about the state of grape production, and the problems growers are facing.

Chen Fangming, owner of a high-yield ecological farm in Jiaxing, has been growing his grapes in the sun for many years. When he started growing them, the biggest difficulty was in trying to get the trees to bear fruit. Because of the frequent changes in weather conditions and diseases, the growth of sprouts during the first year was a letdown. Also in the second and third year the plants barely bore any fruit.

Afterwards, he started using Valagro's fertilizer MC Cream that increases the resistance of sprouts, lowers the adversities of warm temperatures and prevents diseases that might negatively impact the growth. Mixed with water in irrigation system, the fertilizer provided a steady flow of nutrition to the sprouts and improved their immunity for diseases.
In the second year he managed to lay a stable foundation in terms of quality and output for the following years. His operation uses MC Cloud 10 to 11 times a year. The grapes grow well and grape trees thrive, without basically having any kind of disease. Since last year, the quality of grapes of his orchard was clearly better than the quality from other grapes. Moreover, the price for high-quality grapes that were grown in the sun is also 150% higher than those of other grapes.

Grape grower Wang Ronglin, another farmer which uses Valagro more than 10 times a year, gave some very positive feedback. He owns a plantation of approximately 6.7 hectares in Jiaxing and mainly grows grapes to make wine of. The products of Valagro have brought economic benefits for him for many years already.
