Launch of tabbed label for direct variable print applications

Following the commercial launch of Sinclair’s Print on Demand™ technology, the latest innovation in fruit labeling is further optimized with the introduction of the Sinclair® TruTab™. "It's the first and only tabbed label for direct thermal variable print applications," says Barry Lawson, Product Manager with Sinclair. The company demonstrated the new tabbed label at the recent CPMA show in Toronto earlier in May. Available in multiple shapes and sizes, Sinclair TruTab enables consumers to remove a Print on Demand label quickly and easily, and all in one piece.

“Our market research indicates that consumers prefer Sinclair tabbed labels because they are ‘quicker and easier’ to remove,” explained Lawson. “Sinclair Tab-Lift™ and TruTab™ fruit labels make it easy for children to remove the label, and they’re the preferred choice by a majority of parents,” he adds.

Sinclair introduced its Tab-Lift label over a decade ago and since then it has become extremely popular particularly for commodities that have an edible skin.
