"The supply period of this season's Hainan Wang Pin lychees started on 19 May. It is estimated that it will continue until around 9 June. Last year's warm winter has created a small drop in the production of Wang Pin lychees. The market price is stable compared to last year," according to a sales person from Hainan Wang Pin Agricultural Science and Technology Development Co Ltd.

"The volcanic rock princess' smile is a variety of lychee that grows on volcanic rock. The soil in the production area is rich with different kinds of minerals and trace elements. Compared to normal lychees, the fruits from volcanic rock princess' smile grow in pairs. They are full-bodied and the flesh is crunchy, soft and sweet. Moreover, their standards are high. To benefit from its unique taste and shape, the sales price is higher than the price of normal lychees, but they are still popular with the majority of the customers. Annually, the volcanic rock princess' smile sells out very fast, so the supply does not meet the demand."

"The production sites of Hainan Wang Pin lychees are located in the Leiqiong Haikou Vulcanic Cluster Global Geopark. It holds around 9 hectares (90 mu). Last year, our princess' smile lychees were not on the market yet, only in chain stores of supply companies. This year, we have started to use online and offline sales methods. We will sell our excellent lychees to many big distribution markets and fruit chain stores nationwide. Looking at last week's explosive orders we are very optimistic about this season's market."
