Koppert Machines has developed a packing line for snack bell peppers for a German customer. The design came about after intense talks with the customer, and existing and new techniques were used.
The challenge was getting three colours of bell peppers in a 200-gramme packaging, with a weight of no more than three grammes per packaging. In cooperation with Yamato Scale, a 24-head multi-head weigher was chosen, with eight weighing heads per colour.
