China: Xishuangbanna bananas exported for the first time

Recently, Xishuangbanna bananas have met the requirements from the Yunnan Xishuangbanna Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau and were exported to Kazakhstan, where they sold out. This was the first time the bananas had been exported abroad.

On 28 April the Xishuangbanna Shunyuanbian Trade Company announced that a total of 1000 Xishuangbanna bananas met the export requirements and travelled over 4,600 km within four days, from Xishuangbanna on the southwest border of China to the Khorgos port in Xinjiang on the northwest border. From there they smoothly entered the Kazakhstan market. This batch of bananas was 19,300 kg with a value of 48,250 yuan.
