New record of daily sales volume for a single fruit variety created at JD.com

On 10th May, a new daily sales record for green produce available on major e-commerce platforms was created at JD.com during the promotion of 'super item day'.

On that day alone, 115,000 Thai durians were ordered on JD.com, the total weight reaching 330,000 kilos. This was not the first time that a fruit variety had been promoted during the 'super item day' at JD. Earlier this year, the e-commerce giant collaborated with local farmers in major cherry production countries in the southern hemisphere, including Australia, New Zealand and Chile, and imported quality cherries from these places directly to China. On 13th January alone, around 10 million cherries were sold at JD and created the on-line daily sales record for cherries in China.
