In line with the global LYLM theme 2017 "Markets for the new generation", the German campaign is running a "generation freshness" theme, and aims to show children and young people how important it is to shop at your local weekly market from an economic, social and cultural point of view.
From now on, citizens can look forward to many colourful and interesting market experiences. All market stalls are festively decorated. Everyday there are feasts with samples of regional and international specialities.
About "Love your local market" and "Erlebe Deinen Markt"
"Love your local market" was launched in 2012 by NABMA (National Association of British Market Authorities) in England. In 2017, more than 3,000 markets in 17 countries are to take part in the festivities. "Love Your Local Market" is the biggest European market event.
