Taiwan: New: packaging with a handle
To anticipate the ‘to go’ segment, Taiwanese company GripB invented a new packaging with a handle so that products can be easily carried. “These punnets can be used for many different types of fruit and vegetables, including soft fruit, salads and snack vegetables. Additionally, the packaging can be used in microwaves.”
Different types of materials
The punnets can be clicked together. “That way, they take up less space after use. Depending on customer demand, we can supply the packaging in various materials, both in recyclable PET/PP and PS plastic, and biodegradable PLA. Besides, the packaging can also be reused, making it a sustainable solution.”
Patent
Eric Liu indicates that the packaging was new last year. “Our company is still young: we started in 2016, and are located in Taiwan. We developed the packaging with our own design group, and we are in complete control of production with our joint venture factory. The products are already well-known in Taiwan, and we now also want to introduce them in Europe. We've received patents in many countries on various continents.” GripB was present at the Interpack.
