Aspalim and Portlim: a strong duo for green asparagus

With the recently introduced Aspalim and Portlim, Limgroup is offering the markets of Northern Europe and North America a new dimension in terms of quality and yields. Aspalim meets the desire of North American and British growers for varieties that combine high yields with high quality.

American growers are producing ever more asparagus for the fresh market, and therefore need varieties with an excellent tip quality. Aspalim meets this requirement while guaranteeing very early production, even earlier than the present standard early variety Gijnlim.

Portlim starts producing a bit later than Aspalim, but the spears are thicker. Portlim is a very robust, strong variety with reliable long production even in plots in which asparagus has previously been grown. With quality and productivity going hand in hand, Aspalim and Portlim enable growers to produce asparagus for a long season.
