China: Rizhao discovers endive in traveller's luggage

On April 25th, staff of the the Office for Inspection and Quarantine in Rizhao city (Shandong province) discovered a plant weighing 2.8 kilogram inside the luggage of a Korean tourist. After inspection, the plant was identified to be an endive, which cannot be legally brought into the country. Complying with the the legal documents of "Administrative measures on quarantine of articles carried by entry/exit passengers", the staff members destroyed the plant.
