Half of Australian grapes go to China

Australian grapes continue to sit on the throne of the Australian export fruits. As the largest export market for Australian fresh grapes, the markets of mainland China and Hong Kong consume almost half of the total export amount. Moreover, in the past few years the export share of Australian fresh grapes is gradually shifting from the Hong Kong market towards the mainland market. Last year, the export amount of Australian grapes reached 110,000 tons. That is a total of 377 million Australian dollars, making it the number one of all Australian export fruits.
