"Our company is located in Jining city in the province of Shandong. We posess a plantation and processing plant with a combined size of 120 hectares. We mainly export our garlic to Europe. We have less purple garlic than white garlic, and the amount of purple garlic that reaches the standards for export is even smaller. Therefore, we decided to start distributing a small part trhough the port in Qingdao, even though there is a large demand for purple garlic in Europe."

"The reason why we chose to export purple garlic to European markets is because the taste of purple garlic is stronger than in the white. Also disinfection methods were more effective and there are more vitamins in the purple garlic. This year the export season for garlic has not started yet, but its peak will occur near the end of May. Reports indicate that this year's exports will be approximately 20% higher, but the export price will for normal garlic be a lot lower than last year."
