Thai fresh-cut durian arrives on the Chinese market

ThaiFarmFresh (TFF) is a brand of Novana Limited from Thailand. The exclusive distributor of the brand in China is Zhenjiang Harvest Limited, which is a subsidiary of the Harvest Season Group. On March 7, 2017, the two parties signed their Memorandum of Understanding about exporting fresh-cut durian to China at the Thai consulate in Shanghai. Both the commercial consul and agricultural consul of Thailand witnessed the signing ceremony.

The development of new technologies in Thailand has enabled ThaiFarmFresh (TFF) to extend the shelf life of their fresh-cut durian to 15 days, which will greatly benefit supermarkets, fresh fruit markets and e-commerce platforms in China. Chinese consumers are thus provided with sweet and ripe durian at reasonable prices.

"This is the first time that ThaiFarmFresh (TFF) brought this technology to China. By coating the durian with an edible organic cellulose, the shelf life of fresh-cut durian is extended to 15 days. Chinese consumers will have access to the best Thai durians with great flavor and quality. This technology will put an end to the export of unripe durians and fruit with poor quality," said Ms. Zhuang.

This year, for the first time, specially processed durian has been shipped to China directly from plantations in Thailand. The fresh-cut durian is coated with a layer of harmless organic substance. This revolutionary approach of fruit preservation has the following advantages:
