The export managers of five companies in Murcia have decided to join forces in order to offer their customers the best services and a wider range of products. They are doing this under the slogan "The Spanish Orchard".
Exporting its products is the main objective of this consortium. "Depending on the fruit or vegetable, it will go to one market or another," states Lola Méndez, one of the team's members. Lemons, for example, are mainly intended for Europe, Canada and China, while stonefruit goes to Europe, etc.
"The advantage we offer to our customers is that, if they need a given product, they don't need to go asking different producers, because we organise ourselves to be able to supply it," affirms Méndez. In this way, the price of transport is also cheaper, since all the goods can be obtained in the same area.
At present, countries like the United Arab Emirates, Canada, China and most of Europe are among its main export destinations, with a trend for further market expansion.
