ESC asks for clarification capacity seaborne freight

Companies that ship their goods through seaborne freight, are currently dealing with a considerable decrease in the number of available spaces, according to the European Shippers’ Council (ESC), which sounded the alarm. The European umbrella organisation for trade and production companies, of which the evofenedex is also part, asks for clarification of the capacity problems with its Asian and American partners.

Harmful
According to some shipping companies, reorganisations are the cause of the current problems. The ESC, which emphasises that the shortages are occurring at practically every shipping company, talks of a ‘harmful situation.’ For example, production chains of trade and production companies are delayed and goods arrive at their final destination too late, putting pressure on contractual obligations.
