China: First batch of vegetables arrives in Dezhou harbour

The first batch of veg from the only base of operations in Dezhou to supply solely to Hong Kong - The Organic vegetables from the Excellent Ecological and Agricultural Developments Llc in Dezhou city (Shandong province) have already been sold. The yearly sales volume has reached approximately 500 tons. This first base of operations is based in Dezhou's Leijin town in Xiajin county, and has a total area of 12.33 hectares (184.88 mu). Inside the base there are 20 greenhouses for use during the winter or summer. In autumn and spring 12 greenhouses are available. They mainly produce tomatoes, cucumbers, hot peppers and 30 other kinds of organic vegetables. After receipt and acceptance by the national headquarters of quality inspection in 2015, the firm obtained the permit to trade with Hong Kong.
