“CUCUMBAAAA”

A musical tribute to the cucumber

When reggae artists sing the praises of a green plant that does well in greenhouses, the chances are they're not talking about cucumbers – yet this time that is the case. British artist Macka B praises the cucumber in a video.

Macka B is one of the most famous reggae artists in the world, and has built a successful career for himself in the UK and in reggae's home country, Jamaica. And that is not all, he also loves healthy food.

“Vitamins, minerals, very high number. Silicon, hairs and nails get longer,” Macka raps in a video about cucumbers he posted on Facebook. It is not the first time Macka B has been enthusiastic about fresh produce. On Monday it is Medical Monday on his Facebook page, and on Wednesday it is Wha' me eat Wednesday, when he pays a musical tribute to vegan products. Please click here to hear how much Macka loves soft fruit, or sing along with his banana song.

The remix of Macka’s cucumber song is also on iTunes. “Cheaper than a cucumber!” according to the artist himself.
