International space station harvests Chinese lettuce

According to a report on the American space agency's website, astronaut Peggy Whitson has spent almost one month tending the first batch of Chinese lettuce on the international space station with the utmost care. On February 17th she was able to harvest the lettuce. This is the fifth time the international space station has harvested lettuce in space, but it is the first time Chinese lettuces were successfully grown.
