Kühne + Nagel Group

New rail transport service between China and Europe

With the introduction of the KN Eurasia express, Kühne + Nagel is offering LCL transports (Less than a Container Load) between China and Europe. The company is currently finishing off its previous offer for FCL transport (Full Container Load) in imports and exports.

KN Eurasia Express connects China, Russia and Europe. In addition to the established Full Container Load service, with Duisburg as the most important European transshipment station, Kühne + Nagel now also offers its own service (LCL) from the Wuhan hub to Hamburg and Maaszewicze/Poznan. In total, the company uses more than fifty collection points in the Peoples Republic of China, including key locations such as Shengyang, Chongqing, Chengdu and Zhengzhou. In addition to imports, the offer also includes FCL and LCL transports for exports from Europe to Asia. KN Eurasia Express is aimed particularly at customers from the automotive and high-tech industries as well as from the fashion industry.

The security of the loaded goods is highly important to the customers. For this reason, Kühne + Nagel is setting the highest safety standards in the terminals and including especially reinforced container seals for the KN Eurasia Express transports. A GPS-based data monitoring system provides real-time data on temperature, humidity, pressure, incidence of light and location of the containers. Temperature-sensitive goods can be transported in 45-foot Reefer containers.

The offer of KN Eurasia Express also applies to countries on the European periphery. The first transports with block trains to Turkey have been successful. It is planned to continue transporting LCL from China to Russia and vice versa.
