"We may see changes in tomato prices in two weeks"

Until a couple of weeks ago, the tomato production was too small due to the low temperatures; however, "it is now back to normal levels," affirms Jerónimo García, manager at Marsol Fruits Spain. García points out that "the demand from consumers is currently being met," although producers are not fully satisfied with the situation, as prices have fallen sharply due to strong competition from Turkey and Morocco, which have a higher production volume. "The pace of production will eventually slow down and that is when we expect prices to recover," explains García.

The product is shipped to Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, France, Germany and Austria. Europe is the main market for Marsol Fruits Spain, although they are open to business in any part of the world, keeping in mind that the company aims for growth "in a constant and controlled way," according to García.
