Roamler expands into Norway, Denmark, Portugal and Austria

Roamler is expanding its services. Besides the 14 countries in which Roamler is already active with about 195,000 Roamlers who are performing various activities (from gathering data to placing displays, for instance), Roamler will now also start in Norway, Denmark, Portugal and Austria.

Christiaan Rijnhout from Roamler: “Since last week, Roamler also started in Norway, Denmark, Portugal and Austria. The Scandinavian consumers, called Roamlers by us, are signing up in droves. By adding these countries, Roamler can better meet demand from clients to gain insight into European retail on a large scale. It is our dream to have a global crowd, but we are now almost completely covering Europe.” Starting in these countries means that Roamler is now already active in 20 countries.

Crowd-based

Roamler started working completely crowd-based as one of the first companies in Europe in 2011. By using smart technology and large groups of qualified people who are available everywhere, it is possible to (often efficiently) work flexibly, quickly and on a large scale. The people who do the work (the ‘crowds’ or ‘communities’) are not in Roamler’s employ, and plan and organise their own activities.

In retail, Roamler grew to be a market leader in the field of Insights in Retail Execution. The Roamlers mostly consist of interested and trained consumers and they can participate in research assignments in their own areas. Additionally, Roamler started with a higher-qualified crowd, called Roamler Works, in 2016, and this group is used to perform merchandising or sales assignments on a large scale for clients.
