In 2016, with 53,000 tons of produce, Gruppo La California, a company specialising in the logistics, packaging and commercialisation of fresh produce, reached a turnover of €28.5 million - €22 million for La California Italia, €6 million for La California Spain and €500,000 for Girasol (a company producing pomegranates).
Produce commercialised by La California Italia and Girasol is mainly sold to Italian companies, while that commercialised by La California Spain reaches various destinations: Lithuania, Germany, Sweden, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Finland, the UK, the Netherlands, Greece, Italy, France, Spain, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

Because of the cold front that hit southern Italy, the group had to diversify import countries. "Our objective is to overcome the crisis and increase demand. We want to increase our turnover by 20% in 2017."
La California will attend Fruit Logistica 2017 (Berlin, 8th-10th February) in Hall 2.2, Stand C-12. Giuseppe Galluccio (General Manager for La California Italia), Milena Galluccio (Financial Manager), Maria Gonzales Rodriguez (Commercial Manager for La California Spagna) will welcome guests.
The Encore brand for Spanish fruit will be launched during the fair.
