Nicola potatoes at Staay Food Group
At the start of this week, the first Moroccan Nicola potatoes of the season arrived at Staay-Hispa. In 1975, this strain was first marketed by Handelsmaatschappij Van Rijn BV from Poeldijk (part of the Staay Food Group since 2003), which at that time was to first to successfully present this potato strain on the shelves of the supermarkets year-round.
Until mid-May, this waxy potato will be available at Staay-Hispa in Papendrecht and Staay-Van Rijn in Venlo, in the usual sizes P, M and G, packaged in 15-kilogram bales. “Due to the excellent conditions and the years of experience of the producers and our sales team, we are looking forward to a good season.”
