New Zealand grower enthusiastic about the year's quality

In preparation for Fruit Logistica 2017 one of the New Zealand's leading growers, Bostock New Zealand is sending it’s largest ever contingent and looks to further develop strong relationships with Europe, America and Asia.

Bostock New Zealand Owner, John Bostock says the trade show is incredibly significant because of the timing.

“We have just started harvesting our onions and apples start in a few weeks, so it gives us the opportunity to confirm our programs with our customers around the world.”

Over 70,000 trade visitors from 130 countries visit the trade show and Mr Bostock says he is particularly enthusiastic about New Zealand’s positive outlook on the apple and onion crops, which are about to hit the market.

“Early signs are showing good color and size development in the apple crop and everything is on track for an earlier start than last year,” said Mr Bostock.”

Bostock New Zealand’s onion packhouse is in full swing with the company recently investing in high-tech technology.

“It’s been very warm and dry and we are excited to be heading towards what we think will be a ‘vintage’ onion harvest.”

“Our new automated bagging machines and other equipment ensure more accuracy and efficiency and response time.

“With improved expertise and investment Bostock New Zealand can continue to deliver good quality, certified onions to our international customers,” said Mr Bostock.
