Peru ships its first maritime container of blueberries to China

Camposol will ship the first maritime container of Peruvian blueberries to China this Thursday, which will mark an important milestone in the history of Peruvian agricultural exports.

Camposol will make this first shipment after successfully completing the inspections requested by AQSIQ (General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine) and complying with the bilateral protocol for Peruvian blueberry exports to China.

On Tuesday, Camposol received the first approval of cold treatment at origin for its first air shipment of blueberries to China.

A delegation from the AQSIQ and the National Agrarian Health Service (SENASA) highlighted the work done by Camposol in the Research and Development for biological control areas, which allows them to send blueberries free of pesticides, as well as meeting their contribution to environmental care through biodiversity monitoring and wastewater management.

Javier Morales Garces, CEO of Camposol Frutas & Vegetales, said these shipments were possible thanks to the joint work of the private enterprise and public entities such as the Senasa, which continues to achieve the opening of new markets for Peruvian agricultural export products.

Camposol will continue to prepare its diverse range of fresh products to be shipped to Asia. In October last year, Camposol participated of the inaugural flight to China, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru, PromPeru, the Ministry of Transport and Communications and China Eastern Airlines.
