Homegrown Organic Farms announces new Grower Services Manager

Homegrown Organic Farms is excited to announce Caylan Gingerich as a new member of the Homegrown team. She was recently hired and is now operating as a Grower Services Manager for the company’s organic blueberry category and will be based out of Jefferson, Oregon.

Chad Hansen, Homegrown Organic Farms’ Blueberry Category Director, said, “We are thrilled to have Caylan on board. I believe her experience and roots in the industry will be a great addition to the team and will only help further the mission, vision and values of Homegrown.”

Caylan grew up on her family’s blueberry farm in Oregon and hasn’t strayed far from those roots as she continues to build her career. She received her B.S. degree in International Business from Messiah College and most recently worked on the North American Blueberry Procurement team for Gourmet Trading where she managed growers in the Pacific Northwest and also helped to build the company’s East Coast berry program. Prior to that, Caylan worked with The Giumarra Companies on their East Coast Berry Sales team.

Caylan said, “I’m excited to be joining the team here at Homegrown and continue with my passion of serving growers. The growth of the organic market has proved itself as more than a fad and I look forward to continuing to build upon that growth as a member of the Homegrown team.”

Caylan plans to use her agricultural roots and industry experience to enhance the overall mission of Homegrown Organic Farms. Her initial responsibility will involve learning Homegrown’s system of operations and eventually will be focused specifically on blueberry grower services.
