Green Giant™ Fresh was selected as one of Progressive Grocer’s 62 Category Captain recipients once again this year. Featured in their 2016 submission of category excellence was their ever-growing Brussels sprouts line.
The criteria for receiving this award is extensive; but includes, in part, demonstrating excellence in product innovation, effectiveness at differentiating a line or brand within a category, commitment to meeting retail partners’ specific needs and creativity in merchandising, marketing and promotion.
With total U.S. Brussels sprouts growth at over 20%, Green Giant Fresh responded by adding more offerings to an expanding segment by growing their Brussels line. Retailers can now choose between several package sizes of Trimmed & Peeled, Whole, Halved and Shredded Brussels sprouts for their shoppers.
