Alex Hofstee, GH Ulma:

“New vertical bagging machine is hygienic, flexible and accessible”

For the top of the market, hygiene is the number one priority. For that reason, GH Ulma developed the VTC 800 with a closed RVS frame, ensuring the machine is resistant to dust and moisture. “Hosing the machine down is not a problem. The machine is resistant to splashing water and the electric box remains free of dust and moisture,” says Alex Hofstee about this continuously working, servo-driven, vertical bagging machine. The machine was partially developed for the potato sector, but can be used for multiple products.

“The machine is suitable for packagings of 500 grammes to five kilograms, in various materials, including paper-look with a netting display in blocked bottom. Maximum width of the bag is 480 millimetres. Drop height, with less than 1,000 millimetres, limits damaging the product,” Hofstee continues. “The machine is fairly accessible both at the front and at the mechanical insides. This allows for better access to the shaping cylinder by the servicing and/or technical staff, without having to move the exit belt or other components. Adjustment times are decreased, because of this,” Hofstee concludes.
