Paris International Food Exhibition: mixing fresh agricultural products

The Paris International Food Exhibition, also known as the World Food Market Exhibition, was held from October 16 until October 20. The trade fair focuses on food and food processing industries. Many fruit and vegetable cultivators, as well as exporters, were present at the trade fair.

Chinese cultivators and traders of fresh ginger, garlic, mushrooms and other agricultural products, all visit the trade fair. For Mr. Yang Guotai, from an import and export company in Shandong, this is the second time he has participated in the trade fair. According to him, it is the perfect place to get in touch with both old and new customers. People are most interested in the peeled garlic his company sells. Mr. Wen Mindong from Pinghe Lipeng Fruit, a company that cultivates and exports pomelos, said that he can establish connections with many Asian and European trading companies.
In summary, the number of fresh produce companies is limited, so maybe a stronger focus on trade exhibitions would be more suitable for Europe-based trading companies that are concrened with fresh fruits and vegetables. These would include the annual Berlin Fruit and Vegetable Exhibition in February, and the Madrid Fruit Attraction event every October.
