Upcoming revolution in strapping of fruit pallets

A revolution is approaching in the field of packing of pallets for fruit, and the first step has been showcased at Fruit Attraction 2016. Madrid's fair stands out as the most important event for the sector at national and southern European level, with growing international relevance year by year. This made it the best stage to unveil the new version of the best-selling strapping machine in the horticultural sector: the semiautomatic horizontal pallet strapping machine Reisopack.

After a long redesign process in which some of the most important national professionals have been involved, the new Reisopack for semiautomatic pallet strapping is ready for launch. This new model, which will be presented to the American market at the upcoming PMA Fresh Summit and in Europe at Fruit Logistica, offers much more than just a renewed look. The design process has involved rethinking the entire machine to develop solutions to further improve its versatility.

This new and improved version has been developed taking two main factors into account: ergonomics and operability. Most of the more visible changes in the design have been implemented to improve the workers' quality of life. The new grip handle, for instance, allows for less effort to be necessary to move the machine. The bobbin holder located at a low height also greatly facilitates its replacement.

In terms of operational features, some of the most noteworthy have been included to facilitate the work of the operators and reduce time wasting. On the one hand, the new strapping head design prevents it from getting stuck when going up and down, with the straps already placed on the pallet. Also noteworthy is the new brake lever with a self-locking system, which allows the machine to move long distances without the lever having to be pressed at all times.
