Efficient logistics of fruit and vegetables saves money

Speed is especially important when dealing with perishable fruit and vegetables. Efficient logistics are key in this process. This is why the seminar "Saving money through the right labels" deals with logistic processes in the fruit sector and how they can be organized efficiently and become more cost-effective. The seminar is in Cologne, on October 25, 2016.

Together with experts of GS1 Germany, issues such as labeling and identification of the right units as well as digital data sharing in the fruit trade are covered. Examples of distribution Best Practices are given for customers in supermarkets and wholesalers. And finally, background information about the different packaging of fruit and vegetables and the data requirements for the logistic processing is given in a practice-oriented program.

The one-day seminar takes place in the Knowledge Center of GS1 in Cologne. The seminar aims at a target audience of specialists and managers in purchasing, sales, logistics and quality management.
