The Empack in Brussels was held on the 21st and 22nd of September. The two-day event was not busy, but several stallholders were satisfied with the quality of the visitors. As befits a packaging exhibition, there were many kinds of packaging shown, related to food as well as non-food. The visitors could ask advice about their packaging problems at about 150 stands. If they wanted to know more about packaging, visitors could participate in a seminar. This covered various subjects, including organic-based packaging and e-commerce.
The fresh produce sector was also represented by various suppliers from Belgium and the Netherlands whom we photographed, as shown below.
This year, the Empack took place at the same time as the logistics exhibition Logistics & Distribution. This combination puts the focus on internal logistics and distribution.
