Corn for the Cause campaign raises breast cancer awareness

For the fifth consecutive year, GloriAnn Farms is proud to announce the start of the “Corn for the Cause” campaign. Over the past four years, the highly successful campaign has raised just shy of $80,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. (NBCF). For the entire month of October, GloriAnn Farms makes a donation to NBCF for every case of corn sold to participating retailers. For campaign details and to get involved, retailers can contact their sales representatives or visit gloriannfarms.com for any additional information.

“GloriAnn Farms, in conjunction with Five Crowns Marketing, are honored to partner with such a worthy, important charitable foundation as the NBCF,” says Mark Bacchetti, GloriAnn Farms principle. “Our goal is not only to raise a significant donation again this year, but to bring awareness to the importance of early detection and education, because this is what can save lives.”

The GloriAnn tray packs for the month of October include a sticker featuring the widely recognized pink ribbon and highlight the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Some tray packs will also feature a pink tray! According to Daren Van Dyke, Director of Sales & Marketing for Five Crowns, "My mother passed away from breast cancer at 52, so this has always been a cause I've personally supported. While helping to promote a cause as important as this, the “Corn for the Cause” campaign also provides a unique merchandising opportunity for retailers.”
