Michel Lukassen, G. H. Lukassen and Sons:

“Only the best for our customers”

G. H. Lukassen and Sons is more than just a regular wholesaler. “We are a large player on the fresh produce market. We supply to retail, market trade, the catering industry and the processing industry throughout the entire Benelux area. Thanks to close relationships with suppliers, customers can count on a reliable and wide assortment of high quality fruits and vegetables, throughout the year,” says Michel Lukassen.

Wide assortment
“Potatoes, mangoes, avocados, herbs, legumes, mushrooms, bell peppers, bananas, berries, tomatoes ... I could keep going. We import many different sorts of vegetables, top and soft fruits, exotic fruit, herbs and potatoes. We get these from countries including New Zealand, Egypt, Spain, South Africa, Italy and France,” Lukassen continues. “Additionally, we import fresh quality products from Rungis, Paris, via our label Frais à Table. These are proper specialities and firsts.”

“We have been working with our cultivators for years already, and that is why we can offer continuity with our brands. We only give our clients the best products that are 100 per cent reliable and meet specific demands. Besides importing fruits and vegetables we also have our own banana ripening plant, where we ripen brands including Delmonte, Dole and Bonita.”

Italian lettuce
“One of our specialities is Italian lettuce. Since 2013 we have been importing various types. This lettuce is cultivated without chemical pesticides in Italy. After harvesting, the lettuce is washed twice, blown dry and packaged. The following film shows the production process,” Lukassen says.

Ready-to-Eat
“The lettuce we import from Italy, belongs to our Ready-to-Eat assortment. We have nine types of lettuce, including rocket, lamb’s lettuce, baby spinach, bull’s blood and mizuna. In addition, we also sell Ready-to-Eat avocados and mangoes. Never wait again, but eat right away, that's what is enjoyable,” Lukassen concludes enthusiastically.
