Well-Pict to bring more berry education to PMAs

At the 2016 PMA Fresh Summit, Well-Pict Berries will be showcasing its entire line of conventional and organic strawberry as well as conventional raspberry products, including the various sizes offered.

“We also have a few programs that we’re going to be introducing shortly before PMA that are geared toward retailers,” said Jim Grabowski, referring to the multi-faceted inspection education program, which aims to educate retailers on what to expect when Well-Pict Berries arrive at their store. As part of the inspection education program, Well-Pict is introducing the berry chart inspection clipboard, in addition to an educational video series that will outline the farm’s processes, its organic varieties, sustainability practices and the reasoning behind Well-Pict’s longstanding commitment to responsible, non-GMO farming.

Strawberries are the company’s primary product, however Jim Grabowski says raspberries are gaining a lot of popularity in the berry field. “Raspberries are a high commodity that we’ll be promoting at the show in addition to our strawberries.” Well-Pict prides itself on their proprietary varieties and their intense, unadulterated flavor.
