“Reemoon was founded in 2001. We specialise in the field of post-harvest processing and sorting equipment, which we have been producing for over 15 years. In this industry, we have grown into the largest Chinese developer. Our machines are mainly used to sort 15 to 300 mm round and oval fruits, including cherry tomatoes, kiwifruit, mandarins, oranges, apples, peaches, grapefruit and so on,” says Hill Zhou, Overseas Business Manager at Reemoon.

“The company’s headquarters are based in Ganzhou city, Jiangxi Province. This is the main area of China's navel orange production. Jiangxi is also the world’s third-largest navel orange producing area, with a total output of 1.5 million tons annually. In this area, we own 97% of the local market share for citrus sorting equipment. In addition, we posses 80% of the domestic market share for citrus post-harvest equipment. We also have a large presence on the domestic kiwifruit market. Shaanxi and Sichuan Province are the main regions for kiwifruit production in China. Here, we serve 70% of the market.”
International expansion
“Two years ago, after our successes on the Chinese domestic market, we started to branch out internationally. We now have established agents that serve overseas markets, in specific fruit producing areas. Our presence is growing in South Africa, Egypt, India, Thailand, Israel and Europe. In recent years, we have actively participated in global major fruit and vegetable exhibitions. We started to send our machines to those exhibitions to show the international visitors. This has been proven to be a successful move; buyers are impressed by our equipment.”
“We are the only Chinese company that has the capacity to supply all core technologies in electronic sorting machines. Our technical capacities cover sorting by weight, diameter, colour, shape, and blemish control (external quality) and non-destructive internal quality control (including Brix, acidity and other internal defects). We work in close cooperation with domestic and foreign research institutions to ensure technical expertise and reliability. We are excited about our growth and we are looking to increase our global presence”.
