On Monday 5 September, SPAR Austria opened a spectacular new INTERSPAR Hypermarket in Vienna. The new, modern hypermarket is spread over three levels and incorporates the first INTERSPAR take-away in Austria.
Located in the district of Floridsdorf, the hypermarket was completely rebuilt after eight months of reconstruction. The result is the most advanced full-range supermarket in Vienna – adapted to all shopper needs – providing everything for the kitchen under one roof.

The buffet area in the INTERSPAR restaurant features low-priced food, freshly prepared on a daily basis, with many options for vegetarians. A pasta and roast counter as well as the popular salad bar complete the offer. All dishes can be taken home and during happy hour a lot of food is available for half the price.
Flagship store for vegetarians & vegans
Vegetarians, vegans and foodies in general will find a fabulous selection of food in the new INTERSPAR store, with a total of 400 vegan and vegetarian products to choose from. New on shelves in Austria is the largest choice of the Berlin brand, Veganz: 150 products, ranging from biscuits to meals on the go.
SPAR enjoy and fresh sushi
In addition to a wide range of healthy SPAR Own Brand snacks, the convenience brand, SPAR enjoy, offers a large selection of grab and go products from sandwiches to salads, sliced fruit, fresh fruit juices, coffee and tea.
For lovers of Asian cuisine, the new INTERSPAR features the Eat Happy Sushi Bar, where fresh sushi and other Asian specialities are prepared in front of customers.
