"Hardly any demand for conventional carrots"

"The next few months will be very quiet on the carrot market. The quality is generally good and all countries have a lot of local production. The prices are relatively stable with a price level of about 8 cents for conventional carrots and 18-20 cents for organic carrots," says Ronald. "The organic production of carrots has noticeably increased in the Netherlands, but in foreign countries as well. We will have to see if the sales will grow that fast. I expect that there will be moments when there will be more pressure on the prices for organic carrots."
